The Sod Farm
Moster Turf has the experts you need for laying sod and growing sod. Your turf installation starts with certified seed. It is pure and will reduce the chance of outside contaminants. We then patiently grow your sod on our own farm in high-fertility soil, nurturing it daily during that critical first year to ensure health and longevity.
Through our careful growing process, our net-free sod has a more defined root structure, assuring quicker rooting for your lawn or athletic field. Our net-free sod takes a minimum of one year to grow, so you are guaranteed a mature and durable product when the time comes for turf installation.
One look at our product and sod installation will prove that your patience pays off. As a part of our great customer service, we take the time to watch and wait for the sod, so you don’t have to. You’ll receive the finest Bluegrass sod blend or Turf-Type Tall Fescue sod blend. We’ll properly maintain it and deliver it fresh to you. Our fresh cut sod is available for pickup or delivery; the choice is yours.
Size Options
Small sod rolls: 9 sf/roll, measures 16” wide x 81” long. Each roll weighs approximately 25-40 lbs depending on soil moisture and sod thickness of cut.. A pallet of 60 rolls is equivalent to 540 sf and weighs 1500-2400 lbs.
Big roll sod: 360 sf/roll, two 21” wide strips making a total of 42” wide roll x 102’ long. Each roll weighs approximately 1,500 pounds. Installed by our trained team members or general contractors only.

Our natural Turf Type Tall Fescue Seed blend was chosen for its dark green color, drought resistance and disease tolerance. We use a blend of 10-15% certified bluegrass seed and 85-90% certified fescue seed. This combination helps with strength and recovery from damage due to weather or wear; making our natural Turf Type Tall Fescue Sod the perfect combination for performance in our climate and soil conditions in the Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky tri-state area. One look at our sod proves that the words “instant grass” pays off. Our fresh cut sod is available for pickup, delivery, or installed by our professional team; the choice is yours.
